Updates to Lumira data-visualisation and Infinitelnsight predictive modelling.
SAP is looking to increase its foothold in the analytics market after making updates to its Lumira data-visualisation and Infinitelnsight predictive modeling software
InfiniteInsight, which joined SAP through last year’s acquisition of KXEN, now includes support for big data sources including Hadoop Hive 11 and 12 as well as Pivotal’s high-scale Greenplum 4.2 database.
The new InfiniteInsight 7.0 also enables users to use geospatial dimensions such as latitude and longtitude within predictive models.
"This allows you to make the most of geographic data and provides you with much more information than simply using ZIP codes," Charles Gadalla, Advanced Analytics, SAP, said in a recent blog post.
The updated version of Lumira, which promises self-service data visualisation in the cloud, now integrates with BusinessObjects, SAP’s flagship business intelligence suite.
The integration should enable users to draw on trusted data held in BusinessObjects Universes, while dashboards, charts and other data visualisation tools created in Lumira can be sent back to BusinessObjects.
