Allows users to access unified information located across multiple repositories and data systems
SwiftKnowledge, a provider of web-based business intelligence (BI) software, has released SwiftKnowledge for the Enterprise, a web-based BI application designed for interactive, high-volume use by non-technical business users.
The company said that the new offering, based on the company’s BI platform, leverages a Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services data infrastructure. It powers BI applications that deliver an ad-hoc analysis experience to users in web time via a zero-footprint web deployment.
According to SwiftKnowledge, the new platform incorporates interactive data streaming (IDS) and component-level security (CLS) and software also allows both technical and non-technical users to access unified information that may be located across multiple repositories and data systems. It enables users to share the configurable views and analyses they create with other employees, without needing additional downloads or software licenses.
The company claims that the new software is 100% browser-based, with no downloads or plug-ins; and its in-memory technology allows users to get answers to ad-hoc analyses. The look-and-feel and functionality can be customised to integrate any part of the platform with in-house, commercial on-premise, or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications or appliances.
In addition, the CLS offers targeted content, features and functionality according to users’ role and profile, and secures data granularly down to the individual cell.
Allie Gentry, chief technology officer for SwiftKnowledge. “They’re able to respond more quickly to problems or opportunities; automatically and proactively push out critical, actionable information; align financial metrics to maximise performance and success; identify and mitigate risk at all levels of the organisation; reduce errors and eliminate redundancy by automating manual, time-consuming processes; and identify and analyse change drivers, trends and inflection points – all by easily accessing and understanding information stored across multiple systems.”
