Claims to provide awareness of cyber-threats, integrated directly into customers’ security monitoring tools
Vigilant, a provider of managed security monitoring and IT risk consulting services, has launched its Collective Threat Intelligence services, which is designed to provide awareness of cyber-threats, integrated directly into customers’ security monitoring tools.
The new offering is an aggregation of an array of global information about botnets, malware, phishing and other malicious activity, said the company.
It added, the offering enables the use of SIEM correlation and automation to detect suspicious patterns of activity across the IT infrastructure, and allows customers to respond with agility in safeguarding their critical assets.
The Collective Threat Intelligence also triggers alerts and reports when suspicious behavior is detected, enabling analysis and action to prevent or minimise impact to critical systems, data, and transactions.
The company said that through SIEM integration, the threat data is presented in a form that is relevant to the customer’s specific environment, and is made actionable through SIEM-driven workflow and processes.
Vigilant co-founder and chief technology officer Joe Magee said the company is excited to bring the new capabilities to its clients.
Magee said, "With our legacy SIEM solution expertise, our risk-focused consulting that translates business risks into monitoring programs, and now, the pulse we will provide on the evolving threat world through Collective Threat Intelligence, we provide the three critical pillars our customers need to give their security teams the granular and prioritized visibility they need to defend what matters most – which is the bottom line."
