HPE is expanding its product portfolio in the field of deep learning analytics and insights.
The company’s new portfolio of products include the HPE SGI 8600 and interactive rendering from the data centre with HPE Apollo 6500 and Nvidia Tesla GPUs, while support for Nvidia’s next generation Tesla GPUs based on the Volta architecture has also been added.
HPE says that its collaboration with Nvidia will help to address GPU technology integration with deep learning expertise, with the hope that it will accelerate the adoption of technology that provides real-time insights from massive data volumes.
Ian Buck, General Manager of Accelerated Computing at NVIDIA said: “Expanding our collaboration with HPE around deep learning will help enterprises deploy, manage and optimize their GPU computing infrastructure and realize the benefits of AI and deep learning in their business.”
The collaboration will bring centres of excellence for benchmarking, code modernisation, and proof of concept initiatives, in addition to an early access program for Volta-based Nvidia Tesla SXM2 GPU systems powered with eight GPU’s, this will be available for select customers in Q4 this year.
As part of HPE’s push to support AI and deep learning environments, Pointnext is offering HPE Flexible Capacity, a service that is designed to provide on-demand capacity that it says will combine the benefits of public cloud with on-premises IT.
