Exponential-e has also boosted its DaaS proposition.
British cloud network provider Exponential-e has entered into a strategic partnership with IT service provider Intermedia to offer a Virtual Office in the Cloud that can be delivered to any device and from any location.
The company is also planning to boost it’s Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) proposition after a survey revealed that 72% of business professionals find flexible working policy difficult due to technical issues.
The collaboration with Intermedia is aimed at addressing the issue related to adaptable working experience.
Exponential-e CEO Lee Wade said: "Providing access to solutions that enable a more versatile working experience but don’t require the business to invest vital resources into managing a complex IT estate is key for today’s organisations.
"Our relationship with Intermedia enables us to combine hosted desktops with cloud applications, to deliver a scalable Virtual Office in the Cloud that organisations don’t have to worry about maintaining."
As part of the offering Exponential-e will be using its 100 Gigabit Ethernet Network for facilitating the businesses to run desktop infrastructures in a virtualised environment.
Customers will also get access to Intermedia’s email, security, mobility, archiving, file share and collaboration services.
The service will operate within the organisations local area network (LAN), which eliminates privacy concerns, and the virtual desktops will be connected to the LAN, that can be controlled by the existing IT policies and staff, which reduces the need for organisations to manage the user experience for each device.
With the Virtual Office in the Cloud, customers will be able to spin-up additional desktops to meet demand, manage the system through a centralised IT environment, receive customised IT environment, and allow users to work from the same centralised file control and storage.
Intermedia EMEA general manager Richard Walters said: "With Office In The Cloud, businesses can pay per month, per user and operate from any device with an internet connection, avoiding the need for any high initial outlay while providing the flexibility, support and peace of mind that all organisations need."
