New CEO will take over from Jeremy Roche.
FinancialForce is set to start off the New Year with the appointment of a new chief executive officer.
Tod Nielsen, formerly executive vice president of platform at Salesforce and CEO of Heroku, will be appointed to the position of president and CEO of FinancialForce.
Nielsen is credited with helping to redefine the strategy of Heroku, which was acquired by Salesforce for $212m in 2011, and helped the company to triple its revenue during his tenure.
Nielsen also spent time as the co-president of the applications platform group and chief operating officer at VMware, where he helped to build out the company’s portfolio.
FinancialForce said: “With more than two decades experience leading high-growth business units at large technology vendors like Salesforce, VMware, Oracle and Microsoft, Nielsen is well positioned to help FinancialForce navigate current market challenges and further accelerate global growth.”
FinancialForce had a strong 2016 with the company achieving 40% growth and closed in on the $100 million annual revenue milestone.
Nielsen has also held numerous other senior leadership positions throughout his career, which include: chief executive officer of Borland Corporation, senior vice president of marketing and global sales support for Oracle, executive vice president and chief marketing officer for BEA Systems, and general manager of database and developer tools and vice president of the platform group at Microsoft.
