Managed services provider expands portfolio with BlackCloud and BlackVault.
ITS, the nationwide IT Services provider, has expanded its managed services suite with the release of BlackCloud and BlackVault.
The off-site data backup and disaster-recovery-as-a-service solutions will run on ITS’s private cloud platform in the company’s UK data centre.
BlackCloud provides enterprise-level vaulting and recovery to small and medium-sized businesses. The architecture provides automated cloud backup, rapid system recovery and storage of deduplicated data and encrypted data. Users will also receive access to a customer access portal and backup monitoring with remediation of failures.
The service also includes hardware and application support from the provider’s managed services team.
ITS has also launched BlackVault, an on-site addition to BlackCloud. The disaster-recovery-as-a-service offers both on-site and off-site recovery services and can be installed at a location of the customer’s choice. Included with the solution are automated backup to an on-site BlackVault unit, deduplicated and encrypted data storage on-site, high-speed local recovery.
The service, targeted at customers who require additional data protection, provides off-site protection of mission-critical data, physical and virtual recovery capabilities, as well as remote monitoring, recovery assistance and standby recovery resources.
ITS’s head of managed services, Matt Kingswood, stated, "Small- to medium-sized businesses struggle with data replication and disaster recovery (DR) because of the price tag. The ITS BlackVault appliance makes DR feasible for SMEs, enabling efficient and reliable data recovery to help meet recovery time objectives (RTOs)."
