Cost saving move to commercial data centre.
Cloud neutral collocation data centre services provider Interxion today announced that solicitors company McMillan Williams will deploy its business critical infrastructure at Interxion’s City of London data centre campus.
The package offered by Interxion includes improved speed and reliability of services, as well as a more scalable and resilient IT network.
The law firm benefited from a £5 million investment last February from the Business Growth Fund after being transformed into a limited company.
The enterprise will be looking to open 30 new branches by 2018 totalling 50 locations nationwide, requiring an update to the IT infrastructure.
The law firm invested in and built its own cloud infrastructure. By moving to Interxion, MW Solicitors will implement a new practice management system, real-time sales and billing reports and greater mobile working capabilities.
The ability to track power consumption will also enable the solicitors firm to save up to £8,000 a year. Moreover, it will be able to connect with the services or infrastructure they require at any given time, providing a strategic edge
David Fazakerley, Chief Information Officer at MW Solicitors, said: "When we approached Interxion for help, they really understood our business drivers. Our legacy infrastructure created challenges for staff, who had to deal with IT obstacles outside their usual remit.
"With solicitors billing by the hour and dealing with time-sensitive legal matters, a slow and sometimes unreliable IT infrastructure caused inefficiencies across the business.
"By assisting us to review our infrastructure, Interxion has helped us to meet our future growth plans and give our solicitors time to focus on what matters most – providing an optimal service to clients in need and living up to our slogan ‘justice is a birthright‘."
Adriaan Oosthoek, UK Managing Director at Interxion, said: "Because of their choice to collocate in our City of London data centre campus, we’ve been able to provide MW Solicitors with a strong, robust and resilient IT infrastructure that delivers stable power and scalability.
"Improved connectivity and the capability to tap into our communities of interest means the firm can also take advantage of strategic services to support their growth. Perhaps more importantly, we’ve given time back to solicitors who want to focus on delivering a quality service as the firm continues to expand."
