Average revenue per new customer increased over 200% in Q4.
IT automation vendor Chef has reported a 192% increase in its incremental recurring revenue for the fourth quarter of 2014, with the increase owing to the increased adoption of DevOps by enterprises.
Average revenue per new customer increased over 200% in Q4. Over 70% of the company’s revenue comes from large enterprises, including Global 2000 organisations.
The company’s commercial software customer base has now reached over 700. Users have downloaded Chef’s IT automation platform over 16 million times, more than doubling year-over-year.
Chef has introduced a new DevOps workflow offering that automates changes across infrastructure and applications in enterprises.
The new product, dubbed Chef Delivery, allows the continuous delivery of infrastructure, runtime environments including containers and applications.
It extends the Chef platform currently utilised various global enterprises, including Bloomberg, Disney, Facebook, GE Capital, Intuit, Nordstrom, Standard Bank, Target, and Yahoo.
The product is currently is available via an invitation programme, and general availability is expected in early 2016.
