News: E-commerce is the prime focus of the programme this year.
15 new companies have joined Tech City UK’s Future Fifty programme which has been developed to support 50 of the UK’s leading growth stage digital companies.
The new joiners include social intelligence company Brandwatch, restaurant meals delivery service provider Deliveroo, cyber security consultancy MWR InfoSecurity, mobile cognitive training platform Peak, and London based ecommerce solutions provider Yieldify amongst others.
The programme is designed to provide the selected companies access to expertise within government and the private sector.
It will help the companies to build links to the UK’s institutional investor base. It will also provide tailored support to help the selected companies to grow rapidly and establish the foundation for IPO readiness, M&A and global expansion.
According to Tech City UK, around a third of the new companies joining the Future Fifty offer ecommerce solutions which have become this year’s dominant focus.
The new companies have been picked by the programme’s judging panel, which has identified the companies as UK’s highest potential digital businesses for rapid, global expansion.
Collectively, the 15 companies have raised more than $660m.

Since its inception in 2013, the Future Fifty companies have raised a total of £791m and operate in 170 countries across the world.
