The new consulting solutions is to help clients on the route to digital transformation.
Following IBM’s recent title as leader in Forrester Research’s report on IoT software platforms, the company brought forth an array of services, industry offerings and solutions capabilities to assist enterprise clients, start-ups and developers in the drive to digital transformation.
IBM aims to make IoT accessible to millions of people around the world. This is demonstrated with over 1,500 industry experts to its new Watson IoT Consulting Solutions, with the addition of free and open access to its Watson IoT platform.

Its Watson IoT Consulting Solutions practice is to feature 1,500 experts across IBM Watson IoT headquarters in Germany, as well as across Asia, Europe and America.
When integrating the platform APIs and technologies, which may include cognitive, analytics, mobile, security and cloud capabilities, clients will have the opportunity of using the IoT without the risk and complexity of dealing with multiple vendors.

The company’s IoT Consulting Solutions practice is to employ a global network of skilled consultants, data scientist and design and security experts with deep domain and industry expertise, all dedicated to providing clients with guidance on tackling industry specific IoT adoption challenges.
The first priority industries include automotive, electronics, industrial products, insurance, retail, telecommunications, transportation and buildings.

In addition to this, IBM has also announced new industry offerings available via its Watson IoT platform, including IBM Watson for Manufacturing and Asset Health Insight.
Manufacturing is expected to be one of the largest opportunities in IoT. McKinsey estimated that IoT applications in factory settings to have the potential to create value of $1.2 trillion to $3.7 trillion per year in 2025.
