Expanded alliance will produce products for defence, security and aerospace industries.
Airbus Defence and Space and Cisco have signed a global partner agreement to collaborate on products and systems.
The partners will deliver service offerings and solutions for the defence, security and aerospace industries. The expanded alliance will combine Airbus Defence and Space’s knowledge of the defence, security and satellite communication industries with Cisco’s expertise in IT, networking and communications.
The agreement comprises access to sales and technology training and joint go-to-market activities as well as joint solution and service development.
The sales collaboration between the two parties will be expanded globally and coordinated go-to-market activities will be accelerated at global and national levels. Airbus Defence and Space will become a Cisco Global Specialty Integrator, which will allow it to embed Cisco technologies into its own systems and solutions and resell selected networking technology.
Eric Souleres, Head of Operations within a division of Airbus Defence and Space said: "This relationship is a significant step forward for both companies.
