Information Transport System Increment 2, 2nd Generation Wireless Local Area Network (2GWLAN) support for the Electronic Systems Squadron
NCI, a provider of information technology (IT), and professional services and offerings to US Federal Government agencies, has been awarded a delivery order under the NETCENTS contract vehicle with a value of approximately $17.3m if all options are exercised.
Under the new order, NCI will provide Information Transport System Increment 2, 2nd Generation Wireless Local Area Network (2GWLAN) support for the Electronic Systems Squadron.
The 2GWLAN is part of the Combat Information Transport System (CITS) customers’ initiative for communications and information infrastructure modernisation.
NCI and its team member, LTI DataComm, will upgrade 18 US Air Force installations with a scalable classified and unclassified wireless local area network.
In addition, the company will also provide services including: installation, test, and turn-over support at each Integrated Network Operation and Security Center (I-NOSC) to ensure that seamless, scalable, centralised management continues as additional base 2GWLAN systems become operational.
