IT wired and wireless network modernisation support services
Harris, a provider of international communications and information technology, has been awarded a $10.6m communications and IT networks upgrade contract by the US Information Systems Engineering Command at 23 US Army Medical Treatment facilities.
Under the one-year agreement, Harris will provide IT wired and wireless network modernisation support, delivering network with the connectivity, reliability, data integrity, and information security medical professionals need to provide quality care at the 23 treatment sites.
Harris said that its team includes subcontractor Federal Resources (FRC), and this contract was awarded under the nine-year, $20bn Information Technology Enterprise Offerings – 2 Services (ITES-2S) contract vehicle.
Harris IT services department of defense programs vice president and general manager Mike Deloney said that the award leverages the company team’s experience in delivering critical network upgrades to sites across the nation to enhance their military’s medical service delivery.
