Claims that users include supermodels and celebrities.
A new dating app named Luxy has come up in iOS and Android stores for rich singles.
The app, being called ‘Tinder, minus the poor people’, promises wealthy individuals to chat, meet and date like-minded singles within the local area, reported CNN.
Luxy claims to have more than 3,000 users including CEOs, super models, celebrities, entrepreneurs, and millionaires.
To become a member of the free dating app, users have to fill up the information card which asks for details such as users’ favorite luxury brand, photo and hobbies.
As in Tinder, users can scroll through profiles and tap the users they like to set up a chat.
The app claims to be secure with email address and location kept hidden from the public eye, and not revealed unless there is a mutual like.
The company CEO has been identified as Tim T, and the person’s real identity has not been revealed yet.
Tim T said: "With the rise of high-speed digital dating, it’s about time somebody introduced a filter to weed out low-income prospects by neighborhood.
"It works just like Tinder, with one big exception: Our app allows users to weed out the poor and unattractive."
