Release 2.2 interoperates with clients’ existing cloud and network infrastructure to simplify operations and reduce associated costs
Information technology company Unisys has released its Secure Private Cloud Solution 2.2 that claims to help clients secure critical business information in a cloud environment.
The new release integrates a virtualised version of Unisys Stealth Solution for Network cybersecurity software to automate the implementation of security while provisioning virtual resources in the cloud.
With the new release, organisations can increase the number of communities sharing the same cloud, enhance efficiency of infrastructure utilisation and improve economies of scale, the company said.
Unisys said Secure Private Cloud Solution 2.2 interoperates with clients’ existing cloud and network infrastructure to simplify operations and reduce associated costs.
It also makes applications and data that have been deployed to user-provisioned virtual machines invisible on the network and protects those assets from compromise by unauthorised external or internal sources.
Unisys Secure Private Cloud Solution has been certified as "Vblock Ready" and is available for VCE Vblock Systems, which integrate Cisco networking and server, EMC storage and VMware cloud infrastructure technologies into a single intelligent converged infrastructure system.
The dashboard capability gives administrators a single, integrated point of management for all cloud resources, while the Usage Monitoring and Chargeback capability tracks and reports on use of both physical and virtual cloud resources and allocates the charge back to the relevant business group.
