Enhance database architecture
The US Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) has awarded Accenture a five-year, $6.3m contract to provide engineering services covering hardware and software maintenance.
The SPAWAR Integrated Data Environment and Repository (SPIDER) contract was awarded under the Navy’s SeaPort-e contracting vehicle.
Under the agreement, Accenture will provide engineering services necessary to maintain, modify, deploy and sustain all of SPIDER’s systems.
In addition, Accenture also will enhance the database architecture and provide customer and user training and programme support, at San Diego.
Accenture US Navy account lead and senior executive Vince Vlasho said these services are designed to enable SPAWAR to more effectively plan, manage and execute the installation of command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) equipment aboard US Navy ships and shore facilities.
