To offer data management and information sharing services
Accenture has revealed that its federal services division has been picked by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) as one of 20 contractors to provide information technology services under a $1.1bn contract.
The Information technology support services (ITSS-4) task orders will include IT planning, programme support, systems configuration management, user training and introduction of new technologies.
ITSS-4 has a six-month base contracting period with six, one-year extension options.
Accenture notes the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract will support the implementation of new technologies for DOJ, and will mainly involve data management and information sharing.
The company had provided similar IT modernisation support to the Department earlier.
Accenture generated revenues of $21.6bn for the fiscal year that ended 31 August 2010.
