Affiliated Computer Services, a provider of business process outsourcing and IT services, has signed a three-year contract renewal valued at $15.2m with the county of Solano, California.
Under terms of the agreement, ACS will provide IT services to support the county’s infrastructure, including the desktop, applications, and helpdesk environments. Additionally, there are two, two-year options for continued IT services provision for a potential contract value of more than $35 million.
Gartner’s evaluation of the County’s outsourcing strategy led us to again select ACS as our IT partner, said Ira Rosenthal, CIO of Solano county. We’re confident that ACS will deliver quality IT services at a very competitive price.
The new contract includes the implementation of several infrastructure improvement projects, the migration of helpdesk services to ACS’ service center in Portland Oregon, and the establishment of new IT project management and best practices initiatives.
