Analog Devices Inc said yesterday that it had scored its first victory against a Chinese manufacturer it has accused of pirating its designs.
ADI said the High Court in Delhi had granted an injunction ordering an Indian distributor to cease importing and distributing energy metering chips produced by Shanghai Belling Company.
ADI says the chips are counterfeit copies of one of its designs, which is used in energy meters in Indian homes and businesses. ADI said the injunction validated its lawsuit, which accuses Shanghai Belling Company of copyright infringement and passing-off.
