Was Reed Exhibitions too hasty in killing off the Compec show. The American Electronics Association certainly thinks so, and is putting its money where its mouth is by sponsoring its first new show since Wescon: Systems/USA will run from February 13 to 15, 1990 (not next year), at the new San Jose, California, Convention Center – yes, the weather is nice in Silicon Valley in February – and will be aimed specifically at OEM electronics and computer technology systems and sub-systems manufacturers, which has just the audience that Compec was conceived for until it deteriorated into a something-for-everybody extravaganza everybody hated.
