Rochester, New York-based Sayett Group Inc has come out with Datashow Premier Color Projection Panel, an advanced multimedia liquid crystal display projection panel said to be capable of projecting computer-generated graphics and video, laser disk, television cable and camcorder images. Placed on an overhead projector, the panel presents computer graphics in up to 4,096 vivid colours and full-motion video in over 256,000 colours. Sayett says the active matrix Thin-Film Transistor liquid crystal technology improves colour saturation and presents fast animation and computer mouse movement without ghosting in the projected image. The portable Datashow Premier is claimed to be free of all the complex alignment and convergence requirements of conventional projection equipment, and is claimed to be compatible with most personal computers and video standards, eliminating the need for multiple projection devices.
