Features VoIP, data assessment, multi-tenancy capabilities
Apparent Networks has released new enhancements for its hosted network performance management service PathView Cloud.
The company said that new version of PathView Cloud includes features for managed service providers, capabilities for voice-over-IP (VoIP) assessments and enhancements that make PathView Cloud easier to use.
The PathView allows resellers and end users to assess network readiness for new applications by monitoring and measuring the performance of network paths, including portions that traverse third-party networks. It also provides ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting once the applications are deployed to ensure uninterrupted service delivery, the company said.
According to Apparent Networks, the new PathView Cloud features self-service multi-tenancy capabilities that allow MSPs to manage all customers from a single PathView Cloud screen and perform drill-down analyses; and VoIP and data assessment capabilities.
The company said that the VoIP assessments allow users to determine their networks’ readiness for VoIP prior to deployment and assessments can be performed on up to 2,500 network paths at a single time to ensure overall network readiness for VoIP. The expanded data assessment capabilities allows users to assess entire network at once to identify whether networks can handle additional traffic of new data applications.
In addition, the new offering also includes usability enhancements such as support for new PathView microAppliance, Windows 7 and proxy server support, interactive performance charts, customised service quality definitions and intelligent email alerts.
Jim Melvin, president and chief marketing officer of Apparent Neworks, said: “Apparent Networks continues to deliver on its commitment to provide our partners and customers with the most cost-effective tools for ensuring optimum network performance.
“From simplifying complex VoIP deployments to creating new revenue streams for managed service providers, PathView Cloud offers a broad set of new features to help our users achieve their goals.”
