News: Apple’s biggest ever tablet will roll out this week.
Apple’s large tablet, the iPad Pro, will go on sale on 11 November in over 40 countries including the UK.
Available online from Wednesday and in stores later this week, the tablet features a 12.9 inch display with 5.6 million pixels, as well as a 64-bit A9X chip.
It comes in a 32 GB wi-fi model costing $799 and a 128 GB wi-fi and cellular model costing $1079. In the UK, these are priced at £679 and £899 respectively.
It is designed to be used with the new stylus, the Apple Pencil, and the Smart Keyboard.
Apple first announced the device at its annual event in San Francisco on 12 September.
It is primarily focused on the creative industries and enterprise markets.
"There is a good space for the Pro tablet," commented AirWatch EMEA MD Ian Evans in an exclusive CBR interview following the Apple event. "We’ve seen that with Samsung with their Note 10 devices.
"If I was going to be designing something, rendering in 3D for an oil rig design, I wouldn’t want a mini 6-inch device, I’d want a 12-inch HD screen and I’d want a stylus."
