Apple Computer Inc’s agreement with America Online Inc (CI No 2,066) calls for Apple to pay the Vienna, Virginia company a minimum of $15m over five years for the software used to run its on-line information services, as well as funding the conversion of the software to meet Apple requirements and make it compatible with the Newton personal communicator; Apple has also been granted warrants to buy 500,000 America Online shares at $25 a time.
