Digital Equipment Corp’s ACA Services 2.1, which is compatible with the Object Management Group’s Common Object Request Broker Architecture mechanism is now available for AIX, HP-UX – $5,000 each – Macintosh System 7 – $300, and DEC’s own OpenVMS AXP – from $4,000 to $28,000. ACA Services 2.1 is part of DEC’s NAS, its Network Application System environment, and can be used to integrate applications across distributed systems, the company claims. ACA Services is already available under Ultrix, MS-Windows and SunOs.
