Ascend Communications Inc has announced NetClarity, a browser- based management software for large dial-up networks. Ascend claims the package manages grouped logical units rather than physical network elements, enabling simplified management over networks with thousands of ports. NetClarity supports Ascend’s MAX, Pipeline, and GRF product families, multi-vendor routers and third party switches.
