Commerce Server 2009 R2 will continue to be part of Microsoft’s official price list until July 2012
Technology-enabled digital marketing agency Ascentium will take over future product development, marketing and support of Commerce Server, subsequent to Microsoft Commerce Server 2009 R2.
Commerce Server 2009 is a digital commerce product used by Fortune 1,000 retail, consumer packaged goods and manufacturing customers.
Ascentium is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and has been recognised for its expertise in Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and Commerce Server practices.
Microsoft will continue to honor mainstream and extended support of Commerce Server 2009 through 2014 and 2019, respectively.
Commerce Server 2009 R2 will continue to be part of the Microsoft’s official price list until July 2012 and the company will not release future versions of Commerce Server.
Both companies are working closely together to facilitate a smooth transition plan for existing and prospective customers, said Ascentium.
