AT&T Corp wants to exploit its magnetic card capabilities further and has agreement for the acquisition, on undisclosed terms, of Harco Industries Inc, which manufactures CampusWide Access Systems, used by colleges to give students and staff access to campus services using magnetic cards; following the acquisition, students will also be able to use their card Personal Identification Numbers to place AT&T long-distance calls; Harco services 52 schools in 60 locations and several corporations; its name will change to AT&T CampusWide Access Solutions and will be marketed with the AT&T Campus Advantage of products and services.
