Britton Lee Inc, Los Gatos, California developer of the ShareBase relational software and manufacturer of SQL database server systems, has teamed with Natural Language Inc to enable the latter’s Natural Language and the Connector to support ShareBase for DEC VAX computers under VMS and for Sun Microsystems Inc workstations: the development means that ShareBase users can get immediate access to databases using the most intuitive query language – English, says Britton Lee, which suggests that Natural Language complements ShareBase systems with an easy-to use front-end, so that users can access data simply by typing queries in conversational English; available now, Natural Language for ShareBase on VAX/VMS and Sun workstations is offered at between $7,000 and $50,000, depending on the size of the ShareBase box.
