Piling on the misery for a beleaguered IBM Corp, which is under notice that Standard & Poor’s Corp now wonders whether the firm is still worth its coveted Triple-A credit rating (see page seven), the US Federal Communications Commission is now threatening cancel its $3,800m contract because of its failure to correct software problems on the workstation for en-route air traffic controllers. IBM says it would submit a plan yesterday to correct the software snags and get the effort back on schedule.
