Case Communications Ltd, the UK arm of Case Group Plc, is to get the opportunity of making the first bid for all chemical giant ICI’s UK message switching requirements in an agreement worth UKP1m to the Watford-based communications company; ICI has already ordered UKP200,000 worth of Case’s Beeline message handling products for its Scottish and North East offices to connect IBM and DEC equipment to its X25 network; let’s hope the agreement does more for Case than Micro Business Systems’ old corporate agreement with ICI did for the then beleagured PC dealer and distributor; MBS declined to retender for the UKP7m a year contract last year after it discovered that it was losing money on the whole deal.
