To enable borderless collaboration anytime, anywhere
Cisco in collaboration with an Internet and wireless value-added service provider Tencent, have introduced unified communications for Real Time eXchange (RTX) for China’s enterprise users.
The new offering is based on Cisco’s unified communications technology and Tencent’s enterprise-class network instant messaging platform, which unifies voice, video, data and applications into a one-stop desktop application and enables borderless collaboration anytime, anywhere.
The company said that the new offering has been specifically for the Chinese market, and takes advantage of the intuitive workflow of the original RTX to embed applications including Internet Protocol communication, click-to-dial, voice and video conferencing, visual voicemail, SMS (Short Message Service), and web sharing capabilities into Tencent’s enterprise-class platform.
The new offerings click-to-call and click-to-video features allows users to begin voice or video calls instantly and can switch between the softphone and the desk phone, to help ensure uninterrupted conversation across media, the company said.
In addition, the new offering’s open architecture and RTX APIs allows users to integrate Cisco unified communications for RTX with backend office automation and enterprise resource planning systems.
The company said that the unified communications for RTX supports simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and English languages.
