Citizen Europe is to manufacture two new laser printers and a dot matrix printer at its manufacturing plant in Scunthorpe, South Humberside: priced at UKP1,600 the 512Kb Citizen Overture 106 laser printer has a speed of six pages a minute and is built around a Sharp Corp engine, while the top of the range UKP2,400 1Mb Overture 112 laser printer – also using a Sharp engine – does 12 pages a minute, comes with colour graphics and is aimed at large corporate users; and the low-end 180E matrix printer with 4Kb buffer runs at 175chps draft elite, 150chps draft pica, and costs UKP230.
