Austin-based supplier of supply chain execution and collaboration software, ClearOrbit, claims to have significantly enhanced its returns management capabilities having acquired the assets of privately held eBoomerang Inc.
eBoomerang’s software is said provide enhanced tracking and control of every returned product that may require repair, refurbishment or recycling with true, end-to-end returns management capabilities.
According to ClearOrbit, eBoomerang’s technology has been adopted by leading manufacturers such as Panasonic and Seagate Technology.
John Reece, ClearOrbit’s president says, Like ClearOrbit, eBoomerang optimizes the supply chain, only in reverse. Now ClearOrbit can bring a complete returns management capability to our 275 blue-chip customers and optimize their reverse logistics. Among many other powerful attributes, eBoomerang technology will let ClearOrbit simplify the process of initiating and managing reverse logistics through a self-service web portal. Our product and market horizons have been expanded dramatically with this acquisition, particularly in the consumer electronics arena where eBoomerang has had real success in managing the critical returns process.
