Avoid months of designing, developing & deploying with HP Helion Rack.
If you are looking for a pre-everything cloud, then HP’s new pre-configured, pre-tuned and pre-tested private cloud solution may be for you.
The HP Helion Rack, based on OpenStack and Cloud Foundry technologies integrated with HP server hardware, has been designed to speed private cloud deployments – helping enterprises to avoid the months of designing, developing and deploying.
By integrating cloud management software and infastructure with best practices, HP hopes to solve the lack of resources facing businesses when embarking on the private cloud challenge.
This challenege is made all the more harder when recognising the fact that IT must put developers first and offer simple access to a multi-language suite of tools that enable application development and deployment.
HP Helion Rack promises solutions to these private cloud barriers and challeneges – it provides a complete private cloud, with integrated infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) capabilities that support cloud native applications.
"The demand from lines of business and dev/test teams for fast delivery of flexible compute resources is putting many IT departments under intense pressure," said Owen Rogers, senior analyst, Digital Economics, 451 Research.
"While IT departments understand these needs, they don’t always have the time, resources, infrastructure, or skills needed to meet demand. HP Helion Rack can help overcome the cloud and OpenStack software skills barrier that delays many companies private cloud deployments."
Among the host of features HP Helion Rack provides, the first addresses cloud economics for private cloud deployments. Private cloud implementation is accelerated thanks to the combination of open source cloud software and industry standard hardware, all with a platform designed to optimise towards the cloud economics enterprises demand.
The factory built solution, installed onsite by HP themselves, secures rapid deployment through the utilisation of best practices, while scaling is made easy with additional storage and compute nodes where businesses can scale up within each individual node.
The open architecture offers flexibility in workload hosting, while easy access to integrated app services, such as messaging services, increases the scale and availability of applications.
"Enterprise customers are asking for private clouds that meet their security, reliability and performance requirements, while also providing the openness, flexibility and fast time-to-value they require," said Bill Hilf, senior vice president of product management, HP Helion.
"HP Helion Rack offers an enterprise class private cloud solution with integrated application lifecycle management, giving organizations the simplified cloud experience they want, with the control and performance they need."
