CBT Group Plc, Dublin-based provider of interactive education software, reported first-quarter net income up 54% at $2.9m, on revenue up 50% at $22.3m. Earnings per share for the quarter rose 40% to $0.14. Not including charges related to the acquisition of Australian company Applied Learning Ltd announced last November (CI No 3051), net income would have been $3.7m, or $0.18 per share, slightly better than the $0.16 analysts were expecting.
