DST Systems Inc has reported fourth quarter net profits up at $11.8m against $90,000 last time, which included a charge of $8.4m for the acquisition of Continuum Co, on revenue up 16.1% at $153.8m; net profits for the year to 31 December 1996 were up at $167.2m against $27.0m last time on revenue up 20.0% to $580.8m. Net earnings per share were $0.24 in the quarter, $3.35 in the year.
