GTE Corp has reported second quarter net profits up 10.5% at $642.0m on revenue that rose 7.3% at $5,293m; mid-term net profits rose 11.9% to $1,258m on revenue up 6.7% at $10,244m. Net earnings per share climbed 10% to $0.66 in the quarter and 11.2 % to $1.29 in the six months.
