Volt Information Sciences Inc has reported fourth quarter net profits of $2.3m against losses of $700,000 last time, on turnover up 19.9% at $148.8m; net profit for the year to October 30 was up 18.1% at $1.1m, after $541,000 gains on the sale of securities this time and $4.1m gains last time from the settlement of litigation as well as $575,000 charges on the sale of securities and $579,000 gains from payment of debt, on turnover up 9.7% to $530.6m. Net per share amounted to $0.49 in the quarter, rose 21.1% to $0.23 in the year.
