Lotus Development Corp has reported third quarter net loss at $66.4m after the acquisitions of SoftSwitch Inc and Edge Research Inc for $67.9m and a $9m restructuing charge related primarily to European operations, against a profit last time of $18.3m, on turnover that fell 2.1% at $235.2m; net losses for the year so far were $35.3m, struck after non-recurring charges of $73.7m, against a profit last time of $25.9m, which included a charge of $19.9m for purchased research and development associated with the acquisition of Approach Software Corp, on turnover that rose 0.6% to $706.2m.
