Sybase Inc has reported fourth quarter net profits down 14.6% at $5.1m on turnover flat at $267.8m; net loss for the year to December 31 was $79.0m after restructuring charges of $79.0m, up from a loss last time of $19.5m, which was after $24.0m in merger costs and $20m to write off purchased research and development, on turnover up 5.7% at $1,011.5m. Net per share fell 12% to $0.07 in the quarter.
