Deutsche Bundespost Telekom has now agreed with the government to cut telephone tariffs by 5% – but don’t hold your breath, the cut won’t be made until July 1996 and probably another 4.5% from 1998; the agreement is still subject to approval by Telekom’s supervisory board.
