Discreet Logic Inc said it will be shipping new versions of its Effects product line this month. Inferno v2.0 now offers additional tools for film projects, and Flame v5.0 enables creation of special effects used in interactive media, while Flint v5.0 is the scalable on-line desktop digital compositing and special effects system. A feature of these new releases is support for Wire&trade, Discreet Logic’s integrated networking software tool which means shots executed on a system can quickly be reproduced on another, avoiding the need to record to tape.
