Host server products net revenues up 18% on year ago quarter
Emulex has reported net revenues of $102.2m for the third quarter of 2010, an increase of 30% compared to $78.6m of the same period last year. Total net revenues decreased 6% sequentially.
For the quarter, host server products (HSP) net revenues increased 18% to $69.7m. 8Gb/s net revenues increased 323% year-over-year, accounting for 28% of host server product net revenues during the quarter. Embedded Storage Products (ESP) net revenues increased 23% sequentially to $32.3mn, or 32% of net revenues.
The company posted an operating income of $5.5m, compared to operating loss of $18.4m for the same period last year. For the quarter, the company posted a net income of $13.3m, or $0.16 per diluted share compared to net loss of $6m, or $0.07 per diluted share for the third quarter of 2009.
Jim McCluney, president and CEO of Emulex, said: “During the quarter we also announced significant design wins covering multiple platforms for our award winning OneConnect UCNAs with marquee server and storage OEMs including EMC, HP, Hitachi Data Systems, IBM and NetApp.”
For the fourth quarter of fiscal 2010, Emulex forecasts total net revenues to be in the range of $100-$103m. It expects earnings per diluted share of $0.05-$0.07 in the fourth quarter.
