Maker and marketer of portable rugged computers and systems for use in the field, FieldWorks Inc has won a contract, valued at around $1.5m in its first year, to sell its expandable field workstations to Ericsson Corp. Ericsson will use the systems to install and field test its AXE digital telephone exchange, and the contract forms an extension to an agreement reached last year.
