FalconStor Software Inc has signed an OEM deal with Chinese telecoms supplier Huawei-3Com Technology Co, which is set to re-brand FalconStor’s IP-based storage virtualization and replication software.SS
Huawei-3Com is a joint venture of Chinese networking manufacturer Huawei Technologies Co Ltd, and its US counterpart 3Com Corp, and was founded in 2003. Last year 3Com reported that the joint venture had reached a run-rate revenue of around $450m annually.
FalconStor has around 80 staff working from three offices in China. Its other OEMs include EMC Corp, IBM Corp, Sun Microsystems Inc, and McData Corp.
