Intel Corp says that the report due next week on chip sales in Japan will show the foreign share static, but a more important report will be issued after President-elect Clinton takes office: executive vice-president Craig Barrett said he expected the report by the US Trade Representative’s Office to show the 1992 third quarter foreign share of the Japanese market at around 16%, about the same as the second quarter; Intel says the first quarter 1993 report will be an important indication of the new administration’s stand on trade and technology.
