France is pushing for a delay in liberalisation of the European Community telecommunications market because it says other countries have not reciprocated, Reuter reports from Paris: Industry and Trade Minister Dominique Strauss-Kahn said he and European Affairs Minister Elisabeth Guigou had sent a letter to the Commission asking for the delay – We saw at the end of November that the EC had not succeeded in getting a commitment to reciprocity, Strauss-Kahn said; the move is believed to be targeted at the US and the Japanese markets.
