BEA Systems Inc, Sunnyvale has received approval from the US Federal Trade Commission and the Assistant Attorney General to proceed with the acquisition of two Digital Equipment Corp product lines. Under the deal, Bea will have exclusive worldwide rights and all associated patents, trade marks and intellectual property for ObjectBroker, DECmessageQ, and ObjectBroker Desktop Connection, and an unrestricted worldwide source license for DEC’s SAP R/3 Wrapper.
